  1. What were your initial expectations after hearing about ABM Week? Were they met?

  2. If you were to give advice to the organization on how to improve the program in the following years for future ABM students, what would be your suggestions?

  3. What do you think was the most useful activity for the ABM students? Why?

  4. How did ABM week help you feel more confident about choosing ABM as your strand?

With today’s abundance of webinars, talks, and all kinds of resource speakers, I assumed that ABM week would be as generic as the other online events that have previously occurred. However, the onset of ABM week had a different approach and happened to appeal to me more than I initially expected.

The existence of the AIM website in itself was beyond my expectations and was able to grab my attention and make me genuinely want to participate in the upcoming activities. In addition, the resources on the website were very helpful in setting expectations, and even goals, for those like myself who want to pursue a career in business. Hearing stories and gaining insights from those who have gone through the things that we would eventually go through was also comforting and generally encouraging.

Although the resources found on the website were beyond helpful, there could be an improvement in making it more interactive and engaging. For example, more puzzles or asynchronous activities could increase the students’ participation and overall experience. Not only that, but it could also help offline learners participate more and feel more included in the strand’s activities.

All in all, the activities helped me realize that all of us should go at our own pace while we build ourselves up because whether we’re currently thriving or not, there will always be people at our level and beyond to support us in what we do. It increased my confidence by helping me see that being in this field is a journey, and it’s all right to have things that you are yet to learn.
